For my internship, I worked at the Alameda Sun; a locally owned and operated newspaper here in Alameda. The twenty hours needed for my internship were split between doing two things. One of the main things I did was random jobs around the office that helped the other editors and staff get more important work done, by having me do the smaller things that would end up taking too much time. The other thing I did was go out in the field and actually write articles about happenings around town, as well as coverage of local events. The experience was both challenging and rewarding, as it taught me a lot about how a newspaper works and what it's like to report on the news.
